Dr. Sabrina Gratia completed a 7 year Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. She went on to complete her adult psychiatry residency at Albany Medical Center and her child and adolescent fellowship at Downstate Medical Center. She has also received additional training in psychodynamic psychotherapy through Columbia’s University Center for Psychoanalytic Training.
As an osteopathic physician she was trained to view a person as a whole and understands how the mind and body are deeply connected. Dr. Gratia prefers to use holistic approaches, such as individual psychotherapy and suggesting lifestyle adjustments to help treat her patients.
Dr. Gratia is able to treat a wide range of psychological and emotional issues; including Anxiety, Depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Panic disorder, Trauma, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and others. She has a particular interest working with clients exploring their racial identity and has extensive experience working with culturally diverse and LGBQTIA+ patient populations.
In addition to her private practice, Dr. Gratia is a part time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at New York City Health and Hospital - Woodhull Medical Center in the Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Outpatient Department.
