INSURANCE AND FEES:
Dr. Gratia is an out-of-network provider and does not participate in any health insurance plans. This allows her to provide the quality of service that she believes that patients deserve. If your insurance has Out of Network coverage, you may be able to be reimbursed based on your plan. Dr. Gratia will happily provide you with an itemized receipt to submit to your insurance company. Please contact your insurance for reimbursement rates.
Dr. Gratia’s fees are comparable to those of other psychiatrists in Brooklyn. Please contact her to discuss her fee schedule.
FIRST APPOINTMENT:
The first appointment is a consultation appointment in which Dr. Gratia will obtain relevant historical information to conceptualize a working diagnosis. By the end of the consultation Dr. Gratia will come up with a treatment recommendation. Consultation may be extended to another session if needed.
Before your first appointment Dr. Gratia will email you a link to her Electronic Medical Record where you can fill out the new patient Intake Form.
APPOINTMENT LENGTHS:
Initial evaluation sessions for adults are 60-75 minutes in length.
Initial evaluation session for children and adolescents generally consist of separate 60 minute parent session, 45 minute session with the child/adolescent and a 45 minute Feedback & Treatment Planning Session .
Psychotherapy sessions are 45 minutes in length.
Medication management appointments without psychotherapy will range from 30-45 minutes.
FOLLOW UP SESSIONS:
You and Dr. Gratia will agree on the timing and frequency of your treatment sessions by the end of consultation.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Dr. Gratia values and respect your time and expects the same in return. She keeps a 48 hour cancellation policy and reserves the right to charge a full session's fee for missed appointments or cancellations without adequate notice.
